Dave Kershaw

Physiotherapist, Managing Director

Dave qualified in Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia in 2001 having already completed a degree in Sports Rehabilitation at the University of Surrey in 1998. He has recently returned to the clinics from his post in the Caribbean where he was Head Physio for West Indies Cricket, a position which allowed him to diagnose, treat and support the rehabilitation of world class players including Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and Shai Hope. Prior to this he held many prestigious positions in the elite sporting arena including Head Physiotherapist for Lancashire County Cricket Club and Oldham Athletic Football Club and Consultant Physiotherapist for Bristol City FC. Dave started his career at the Centre of Sporting Excellence at Bath University working with Commonwealth and Olympic athletes and has also worked for the English Cricket Board. By working in these sporting environments and treating the likes of Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff, James “Jimmy” Anderson and Muttiah Muralitharan, Dave has developed specialist expertise in the treatment and rehabilitation of spinal, shoulder, knee and ankle disorders.

Alongside his training and experience from the world of professional sport, Dave has personal sporting interests and accolades most notably having competed in National swimming competitions, representing Harlequins RFC and running many half and full marathons. He has also completed an Ironman in less than 12 hours which is quite an achievement!

Chris Barry

Practice and Clinical Lead - BSc, MCSP & HCPC Registered

Chris graduated from the University of East London in 2017 with a Degree in Physiotherapy. This was after completing a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Chichester. Immediately after completing his degree in Physiotherapy he started to work as a Rotational Physiotherapist for Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust, starting on inpatient rehabilitation for 6 months and moving onto MSK outpatients as a Band 6.

Since then Chris has worked both privately and within Nuffield Health sticking to his passion of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy but also helping out within the community and hospital settings during the COVID outbreak. He continues to develop his expertise and knowledge to best help his patients return to full function and achieve their goals. He has a passion for using a wide variety of treatments techniques in order to assist patients through their rehab journey and is constantly keeping up to date with latest research and evidence based Physiotherapy practise.

Chris enjoys volunteering at various sporting events within the UK most notably the World Athletics Championships and the London Marathon, where he has been part of the medical team on race day assisting runners with injuries.

He is a keen sportsman and likes to keep himself fit and active. He was Kick Boxing national champion in 2013, was a finisher in the London Marathon 2022 and regularly plays football. In his spare-time he likes to listen to music, go to live gigs and socialise with family and friends.

Justine Dawes

BSc, MCSP, HCPC, BASI Mat Pilates, Dry needling level 1

I was born in Pretoria,  South Africa. Since childhood, I have always been active and loved being outdoors, in nature. 

I have studied BSc Physiotherapy at the University of the Free State, and finished my degree in 2020. 

I have since worked in mostly MSK outpatient private practices across South Africa and in the Uk. Focussing on back and neck pain as well as sports type injuries. 

Due to my competitive side, I enjoy doing various sports and activities.

In my free time I love spending time with my husband, friends and family, and to brag about South Africa.

Prerana Shetty

MSc, MCSP, HCPC

Prerana Shetty is a qualified physiotherapist with a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Therapy from Leeds Beckett University, UK (2022), and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, India (2019).

After graduating, Prerana began her professional journey as a Consultant Physiotherapist at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, where she gained valuable clinical experience over the course of a year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she extended her services through home visits, offering personalized care to patients in need during a particularly challenging time.

Her approach to physiotherapy is compassionate, patient-focused, and grounded in evidence-based practice. While pursuing her postgraduate studies in the UK, Prerana enhanced her expertise in sports physiotherapy by volunteering with the Yorkshire Women’s Cricket Team and at the Surbiton Trophy tennis tournament, gaining hands-on experience in supporting athlete health and performance.

Beyond her professional work, Prerana enjoys playing badminton, listening to music, and expressing her creativity through art.

Muhammad Shawaiz

BSc, MCSP, HCPC, AACP

Muhammad Shawaiz graduated from Lahore Medical and Dental College with a degree in Physiotherapy and completed his Master’s in Public Health at London Metropolitan University. With over four years of clinical experience in physiotherapy, he specializes in Musculoskeletal (MSK), Orthopaedic, Sports, and Neurological Physiotherapy. Muhammad has worked across private clinics and hospital settings, including serving on the frontlines during the COVID-19 outbreak. He is committed to delivering evidence-based treatment, personalized care to help individuals recover, prevent injury, and achieve their full potential.

Outside of physiotherapy, Muhammad is passionate about cricket, horse riding, cars, and travelling. He enjoys exploring new cultures and destinations, believing that travel broadens perspectives and brings fresh energy into his work and personal life. Muhammad sees movement and exploration as essential parts of a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle, and he brings that same passion and positivity to every patient he supports.

Rupali Pawar

BSc, MCSP & HCPC Registered

Rupali graduated from V.S.P. M’S College of Physiotherapy India acquiring a Bachelors of Physiotherapy. She did Masters of Physiotherapy from D.Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy, India, in General and Community Based Rehabilitation. Rupali is a skilled and experienced in treating Musculoskeletal conditions. Treatments usually involve manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and electrotherapy to help individuals to improve their quality of life.

She has completed post-graduation in Geriatrics and Women’s Health.

She believes that patient is her first priority when it comes to rehabilitation process. She is good listener and treats every patient with an individual and holistic approach.

In her  spare time Rupali enjoys travelling, cooking and dancing.

Over the years I have developed a keen interest in the management and rehab of a wide range of Musculoskeletal conditions, running an ACL rehab class and supervising students as well as junior Physios. Post University I have qualified as an ITEC level 3 sports massage therapist at the University of Brunel and I continue to attend courses and training outside of my working hours.

I am currently working on progressing towards becoming a Band 7 clinical specialist in either spinal or peripheral joints still within the NHS as well as improving my knowledge and experience within the private sector aiming to become qualified in acupuncture.

I’ve been very fortunate to be part of the medical team at the 2017 World Athletic Championships and many London Marathons working with a wide variety of healthcare professionals and volunteers as well as some pretty high profile athletes.

In my spare time I like to listen to music, go to the gym, swim and kick box. I also play the drums and I am massive fan of the band Queen.

Venkat Venna

BSc, MCSP, HCPC, AACP

Venkat Venna is an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, bringing over ten years of expertise to his profession. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2007, Venkat has built a strong reputation for his advanced skills in complex diagnostics and treatment techniques.

With more than a decade spent in private and NHS practice, Venkat has refined his hands on therapeutic abilities, specialising in joint mobilisation and myofascial release. His approach to patient care is comprehensive, and he further broadens his therapeutic offerings through his qualifications as a trained acupuncturist.

Venkat’s commitment to holistic health goes beyond conventional physiotherapy. As a yoga instructor, he promotes a well-rounded approach to wellness. His passion for the field is evident in his dedication to patient education, he spends significant time helping individuals understand their bodies, uncover the causes of dysfunction, and manage chronic pain.

Focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes, Venkat strongly believes in empowering his patients. He shares effective self-management strategies, encouraging them to actively participate in their own recovery.
